Not a whole lot today, either, bleh. Lots of napping! Also it was raining so I didn't go out haha.

I DID clean the hallways like I meant to, so that's something. Hopefully it's good enough, but I'll check it again in the morning, I probably missed stuff, that seems to be how cleaning goes, just in general.

Also! I made a cheese and tomato toastie for lunch and it was DELICIOUS, will definitely make more until I'm out of bread! :9 :9 :9

Went out with A today! Lots of fun, actually, we went to the art gallery for a bit, and then got delicious noodles at the noodle place that re! opened!!! :D :D :D Which we're all very pleased about - A hasn't asked, but the guess is they probably couldn't find anyone else to rent the place, so hopefully the noodle place people got a great deal on the rent! >D

And we also derped around for a while, played gacha machines etc. etc. It was a LOT for a me, since I haven't really left the house for more than an hour or so for... uh... some weeks now, not sure. A while, anyway! So I kinda crashed when I got home, until Sushi pointedly informed me that It Was Dinner Time Now Thank You Very Much. And he wasn't actually wrong, so yeah, got up and fed him. And me! I took a schnitzel out of the freezer last night in the optimistic hope I'd have uh WAY more energy left that I actually did, so instead of that I just made the mashed potatoes portion and had that for dinner. I'll have the schnitzel and mashed potatoes and green beans tomorrow, instead. :9

What else... not a lot really. I did forget to say I caught five shinies in pokemon yesterday! And one more today, so I only have two more to go for this round of outbreaks. :3 :3 :3

But now to go back to napping, yesssss.

So, Sibling was later than expected due to some other-work shenanigans - I didn't ask, the grump was visible - but! First coat of paint on the inside skirting boards is done, yay! Will need at least one more coat, unsurprisingly, but of course waiting for that is... literally waiting for paint to dry... so that's all that got done today. Not warm enough to be worth hanging around! Sibling might come over tomorrow if the other-work stuff continues to be a PITA, but probably not until next week. My homework (as it were) is to give the hall a scrub from top to bottom, which is going to be... fun... but it needs doing, so! We do what we must.

Other than that... heard back from a job and they're asking me to do a "one sided online interview", by which they mean take a recording of myself answering questions. It seems uh. Sketchy as hell, honestly! And yet somehow not surprising. Gonna email the person back and see if I can do it via text, because video UGH, but we'll see how that goes. Not super attached to the job, though the location is closer to home than most. But we'll see what kind of response I get to the question, that should also be indicative of a culture fit.

Usually I like doing my taxes! BUT NOT THIS YEAR. Since my redundancy payment was a) lump sum, and b) RIGHT before the end of financial year, it chucked me up into a higher taxible income bracket, which means my PAYG tax withholding doesn't fucking cover everything soooo I owe the tax office. I owe the tax office like three grand. :| :| :| This is, I think, extremely unfair. I don't mind paying taxes, just. Really?? So annoying.

Anyway in less aggravating news, my room has been unsealed!!! (This is what allowed me to do my taxes, since I could get at the paperwork XD) I can't move back in yet, but! I can go in! And get things! LIKE SHOES. And stuff. Yes. :D

Probably gonna have to go shopping again tomorrow, bleh, almost out of curry already and I should proooobably get stuff to make something with more vegetables than I have in the house. Also protein, I guess? Not sure what I want to make, honestly. Maybe pasta? I'll need to buy pasta, too, for the first time in uh... my own living memory, we're out of pasta. So strange.

They're DOOOOONE~! I'm so happy.

Next up is pulling a few nails before sanding (so the sandpaper doesn't, you know, catch and tear up into uselessness), then painting. Might do some tomorrow, not sure yet - I REALLY need to go shopping, I require moar drinks. Also more food, but that's less urgent, the lack of non-water drinks is... resulting in me not drinking much. Which is not great. I have my water glass right here, I just. It cold. And gross. No desire to drink it, though I do make myself when I remember.

In unrelated news, Tortilla has been SO SNUGGLY today omg. Just. I make a vaguely lap-shaped space, I have cat in it. It's very nice! :3 She put her little paws all over my face this morning, too, stretching out while I rubbed her head :x :x :x So soooooft!!!

I did make butter chicken, too! I needed TWO big plates in order to stop feeling hungry, which is telling me I haven't been eating enough again, siiiiigh. At least butter chicken is delicious enough I won't have that problem again until I finish it! Need to get more tortillas and tomatoes etc for wraps, too. Been heating up a couple of chicken nuggets per wrap as the protein, which is actually really good! And warm, which helps in this weather orz.

Anyway, here's to hoping that I fall asleep easily tonight! Haven't the last few nights, though napping during the day is fine. Might be the cold, which is annoying.

Sibling did NOT come over today! Apparently it's "been a week", which. Fair! Anyway, should be around tomorrow, but if not that's okay too.

I DID finish stripping the board I was working on! I didn't get any of the next one done, though, because I came inside for a break and realised I really, really needed a nap. So I had that instead.

Unfortunately, brain is still Absolutely Refusing to eat my goddamn soup - I made myself heat up a bowl, and then I just. Left it there. Until it went cold and Sushi decided to drink all the broth. SIGH. I can give the non-broth bits to the chooks tomorrow so it won't be entirely wasted but still. Ugh.

Also my bread went moldy overnight - I've been eating toast for breakfast every! Day! I didn't think it'd go bad when I've been steadily getting through it, but apparently I needed to put it in the fridge even with how cold it's been - so basically two meals of the day got turned into rice with stuff on top. Which isn't bad but it is annoying since I was expecting to eat other things.

I did take chicken out of the freezer, though, so tomorrow I'll make the butter chicken I got the ingredients for. And then I'll really need to shop again, sigh. Hopefully I'll get the last board stripped tomorrow, though; I think showering will be less of a brainfuck if I'm not going to get back into the gross and stinky clothes I've been doing that in. Hopefully. (Also they really need a wash, but given how long drying anything takes at the moment I'm waiting until this stage is done hahaha. Hopefully the stuff on the clothes horse will be dry by then... Keeps raining, so outside isn't really an option at the moment :/)
